1. Prep: Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a cookie sheet or pan with parchment paper. Lay out your crackers in one snug, cozy layer.
2. "Toffee": In a small pot, melt together the butter and coconut sugar until smooth. Let it bubble away for 4 minutes, until it smells like warm toffee.
3. Bake: Pour the "toffee" over your crackers, spread to the edges, and bake for 6 minutes until everything is happily bubbling.
4. Chocolate: Melt chocolate chips (add coconut oil in as you melt and stir).
5. Layer: Let the "toffee" settle for 1–2 minutes, then blanket it with melted chocolate. Top with almonds (and optional dried cranberries or flaky salt).
6. Set: Refrigerate for 1–2 hours, until crisp and snappy.
7. Break: Peel off the parchment paper and cut into squares or break imperfectly!
